### [Nature Beyond Reality: Mapping Brain Restoration in Adult ADHD](https://blog.jmir.org/nature-beyond-reality-mapping-brain-restoration-in-adult-adhd)

3 July 2026 11:56 a.m.

Exposure to natural environments is well documented to improve attention, reduce stress, and enhance psychological well-being. While virtual reality (VR) offers a portable, scalable way to simulate natural settings for urban or isolated populations, it remains unclear whether a virtual forest engages the brain and cognitive networks in the same way as the real world.

### [The Experience Gap: Better Appraisals for Clinical XR](https://blog.jmir.org/the-experience-gap-better-appraisals-for-clinical-xr)

11 June 2026 8:45 a.m.

Formative evaluation is a vital pillar of implementation science, used to identify early barriers to adoption before deploying new health technologies. Traditionally, this process relies on gathering stakeholders’ expectations through preuse questionnaires. While this works well for standard screen-based apps, it hits a bottleneck when applied to immersive systems like Extended Reality (XR).
